In the bright and breezy town of St. Augustine, Florida, two middle school classmates, Allen and Leo, loved spending weekends together.
Their favorite activity? Cycling adventures along quiet streets, under oak trees, and sometimes near the beach.
One sunny Saturday, after a long ride, the boys parked their cycles under a shady tree near the park. They sat down, tired but smiling.
🍎 The Healthy Talk Begins
Allen opened his snack box.
“Look, Leo! I brought apple slices and walnuts today.”
Leo grinned.
“That’s healthy! I brought bananas and almonds.”
They started munching as the cool breeze brushed against their faces.
Suddenly, Allen said,
“Hey, let’s play a game! We’ll take turns naming fruits, vegetables, and nuts… and say their nutrition benefits.”
Leo’s eyes sparkled.
“That sounds fun! Let’s do it! I’ll go first.”
🥕 The Nutrition Game
Leo: “Carrot!”
Allen: “Easy! Carrots have Vitamin A. Good for eyes.”
Allen: “Banana!”
Leo: “Rich in potassium. Helps muscles and gives energy.”
Leo: “Almonds!”
Allen: “Full of healthy fats, protein, and Vitamin E.”
They laughed and clapped after each correct answer.
Soon the game became faster and louder.
Allen: “Spinach!”
Leo: “Iron and fiber! Great for blood and digestion.”
Leo: “Blueberries!”
Allen: “Antioxidants! Good for brain power.”
Allen: “Walnuts!”
Leo: “Brain-shaped nut… and good for your brain too!”
Both boys burst into giggles.
🍉 A New Challenge
After a while, Leo said,
“Let’s make it harder. We must say one benefit AND one fun fact!”
Allen agreed.
Leo: “Watermelon!”
Allen: “Hydrating… and it’s 92% water!”
Allen: “Broccoli!”
Leo: “Has Vitamin K… and tiny broccoli looks like a mini tree!”
They kept going until they both ran out of ideas and fell back laughing in the grass.

🌿 A Lesson in Friendship & Health
When the boys caught their breath, Allen said,
“This game helped me learn so much! Healthy food can be fun.”
Leo nodded.
“Yeah! And it makes me want to eat better.”
They looked at their bikes, ready for the ride back home.
“Healthy foods give us energy,” Allen said proudly.
“So we can ride even longer next time.”
Leo smiled.
“And helping each other learn makes it even better.”
🚴 The Ride Back Home
As they cycled home, the warm Florida sun followed them.
They felt stronger, smarter, and closer than ever.
When they reached their houses, they shouted:
“See you next Saturday—Healthy Heroes forever!”
