On a warm and sunny Sunday morning in St. Augustine, Florida, Leo and Allen walked hand-in-hand along the quiet streets toward their local church. As they walked, the white steeple shined brightly in the sunlight, and birds sang from the tall oak trees around the building. Because it was Sunday School day, both boys felt excited and happy to learn from Pastor Bob.

Learning About Faith and Stress
When they entered the cozy classroom, they saw other children sitting in a semicircle with colorful Bibles in their laps. Soon after, Pastor Bob greeted everyone with a warm smile.
“Good morning, children!” he said. “Today, we’re going to talk about faith and prayer, and how they can help us when we feel stressed.”
Then Pastor Bob asked, “Does anyone know what stress is?”
Leo raised his hand and said, “Stress is when we feel worried or nervous about school or other things.”
“That’s right, Leo,” Pastor Bob replied kindly. “Through prayer and trusting God, we can feel calm and peaceful.”
Asking Questions and Finding Answers
Next, Allen leaned forward and asked, “Pastor Bob, sometimes I feel nervous before basketball matches or homework. Can prayer really help?”
Pastor Bob nodded and smiled. “Yes, Allen. Prayer reminds us that we are never alone. We can talk to God, ask for help, and thank Him for all our blessings. Because of this, our hearts feel lighter.”
Leo and Allen looked at each other and whispered, “We should share this with our friends too!”
Practicing Faith Every Day
Later, Pastor Bob asked the children how they could practice faith during the week.
Leo spoke first. “I will say a short prayer every morning so I feel calm and ready for school.”
Then Allen added, “I will pray before basketball practice and exams so I can stay focused.”
“That’s wonderful,” Pastor Bob said proudly. “Remember, prayer is not only about asking. It’s also about being thankful and trusting God, which helps us handle stress in a healthy way.”
Ending with Prayer and Peace
Finally, the class ended with a group prayer. The children joined hands and prayed together, thanking God for strength, guidance, and peace.
As Leo and Allen walked home afterward, they felt happier and more confident.
“Prayer really helps me feel calm,” Leo said.
“Me too,” Allen replied. “And now we can help others feel peaceful too.”
A Lesson to Remember
That Sunday, Leo and Allen learned that faith and prayer are powerful tools. They help reduce stress, bring peace, and keep hearts strong. Most importantly, the boys understood that trusting God can make life brighter, even during difficult times. 🙏✨
